Panski Family Newborn Photography | Michigan Newborn Photographer

When you bring your newborn home, the first few days may feel long and tiresome, but as you look ahead, the years will be short. If you’re looking for a Michigan newborn photographer, I’m here to help you freeze those first initial newborn moments (between feedings and diaper changes), so you can cherish them forever. The best time to bring them to the newborn photography studio is 5-12 days old – so it’s important that you plan and book ahead. That’s exactly the timespan where I was able to capture the sweetness of Gregg and Kayla’s daughter during her first week in the world.

Meet Gregg and Kayla

Kayla was overjoyed when she learned she was pregnant and would become a mother. It’s an exciting yet overwhelming time. Kayla shared: “Something I only get one shot at and needed to get right.” Newborn photos offer a sentimental look at a family’s endearing moments with a child, and Kayla knew that capturing these moments would be essential for her. Gregg was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of their little girl.

I knew Kayla (a previous student of mine) and I was happy she reached out to share her special news and would trust me to be her newborn photographer. Shortly after the birth, Gregg, Kayla, and their adorable daughter came to visit my newborn photography studio in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

With first-time moms, there can be a lot of emotion and anxiety. I can capture beautiful newborn images through open communication and a comfortable, clean studio setting. Kayla commented in a review after the photography session:

“Jamie is someone I knew I could trust completely-with beautiful images, with cleanliness in her studio, with honesty and good communication and with handling our precious baby while getting those perfect poses. It was such a relief as a first-time mom to go into a session feeling only positive emotions and having one less thing to worry about.”

She went on to say: “During our session, we had such a great time. It was so nice to be able to sit back and let Jamie work her magic. Even when our daughter needed to eat and be changed, Jamie didn’t skip a beat and got her fed and changed for us and had all the supplies to be fully prepared for all situations (in case “mom brain” took over and we forgot something).”

Newborn Safety During Photoshoots

Throughout Gregg and Kayla’s newborn session, safety was a vital aspect of the photoshoot. At less than two weeks old, babies are more vulnerable to the world around them. All studio backdrops, props, and accessories are cleaned and sanitized before every photography session. Additionally, the newborn photography studio is set to an ideal temperature to keep a newborn warm and cozy, even when the Michigan temperatures aren't ideal outside. Overall, the studio offers a comforting atmosphere, such as white noise machines to help keep newborns calm.

When positioning and posing a newborn, safety is also essential to keep in mind. I’m a 15-year veteran physical therapy assistant, so I understand the function and movement of the human body in adults and children. In addition, I am Basic Life Support (BLS) certified should any trouble arise. All aspects of newborn safety and comfort are at the top of my mind during each photography session.

Book a Michigan Newborn Photographer

At the end of her session, Kayla shared: “Our session honestly flew by as we enjoyed the conversation and laughs while relaxing in the studio. Once we received our images, our decision in hiring Jamie was confirmed. From the first sneak peek to the final delivery we have not stopped looking at and sharing these precious and beautiful photos.”

Memorialize your newborn moments in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. At Jamie Lynn Photography, I ensure your newborn family photo session will be relaxing for baby, mom, and the entire family. I’ve owned and operated my studio in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, for over ten years, and I’d love to get to know you and your goal for newborn photos.

If you’re ready to schedule your newborn session or even a maternity photoshoot, I'd love to be your go-to Michigan newborn photographer.
